Learn the FlowTrades Concepts

- Flow Select:

These are the stocks that have been selected by our trading model as potential breakouts or continuation of a particular trend (Up or Down). On a daily basis, FlowTrades will include at least one Long and one Short selected stocks. These stocks are "on watch" until they reach a trading range above the high of the day where the stock was added to our select stocks. Only until they reach these trading range, these stocks are considered a Go to execute the trade. If a stock doesn't reach the Flow GO range within 5 trading days the Flow Select stock is then dropped from the list, given the trade opportunity expired.

- Flow GO:

This is the Trading Range that FlowTrades provides in order to Execute the Trade of a Flow Select Stock. The Flow GO range is valid for 5 trading days, if the Flow Select Stock doesn't reach this range the trade opportunity expires and the Flow Select Stock is dropped from our potential trades. The range is calculated as 0.75% - 3.5% above the intra-day high of the day when the stock was added to the Flow Select list. The Stock will be dropped if it Gaps at the open more than 5% in the direction of the Trade.

- Flow Set:

This is when there is no doubt that a trend has begun. It is achieved by a confirmation of strength with a trade directional movement (Up for Longs and Down for Shorts) accompanied with above average volume and a trading range within or above the Flow GO price range. Please note that Flow Set is not a price range, but an event. You have the option of not executing your trade when it is considered a Flow GO, and waiting to execute your trade only after the stock has Set. This obviously can limit your returns, but will diminish your overall risk. A stock that has been cleared to GO or Execute may take weeks to Flow Set or it can probably never do it. The majority of our most profitable trades the stock Flow Set. Also, important to note that a stock can Flow Set the same day that is considered a GO. Confused? Don't worry we will be guiding all the way through our daily emails.

- FlowTrades Exit Range:

This is very simple, this is the range where we recommend closing our long or short positions. FlowTrades closes 50% of the position, once the stock price has reached the lower bound (longs) or upper bound (shorts) of the FlowTrades Exit Range, this to help in locking in profits.

- Flow Sell:

This is when we execute a transaction of closing our long or short positions. FlowTrades manages the portfolio by closing 50% of the postion, once the stock price has reached the lower bound (longs) or upper bound (shorts) of the FlowTrades Exit Range. FlowTrades will execute the remaining shares if it approaches the upper bound (longs) or lower bound (shorts).

- Flow Stops:

These are the stop loss orders defined with each of our trades, FlowTrades constantly reviews the Stop loss levels and adjust them according to market conditions. The stocks that had their stop loss reviewed will appear in the FlowTrades Daily Email.

- Flow Pulls or Spikes:

FlowTrades will identify whenever there is a Stock that is having a pull back or price correction with Low Volume, this will imply a good buying opportunity to add to positions. This is what is considered Buying on the dips. FlowTrades will identify the stocks as Flow Pulls. Alternatively, when a stock is in a downward trend, a stock sometimes spikes back on low volume, this implies a good opportunity to add to the short position.  This is what is considered as selling the rallies. FlowTrades will identify the stocks as Flow Spikes.

- Flow Drops:

These are the stocks that have expired from our watch list or Flow Select list or the ones that have presented gaps of more than 5% at the open in the direction of the proposed trade. You will be notified in the daily emails about this.
